Glow From Within: The Story Behind Our Herbal Tea Collaboration with INAY HERBS

Hi, I’m Ka’ila!

When I’m not blending teas, you’ll usually find me tending to my garden, getting lost in a good fictional novel or manga, finding ways to keep my body active, or spending quality time with the people I love.

Health and wellness have always been a big part of my life, but I’ve come to believe that some of the most meaningful rituals are often the simplest ones, the ones we can return to every day.

How It Started

My interest in herbal wellness became much more personal after a routine doctor’s appointment.

I had originally gone in for something unrelated but decided to ask about my irregular menstrual cycles. Growing up, I was often told that it was something that would eventually regulate on its own. By the time I was 27, that still hadn’t happened, and I wanted to better understand what was going on.

One option offered to me was hormonal birth control, but I wanted to explore other approaches first. That curiosity led me down a rabbit hole of learning about traditional herbs that have long been used to support women’s wellness. After incorporating them into my own routine, I noticed significant changes that encouraged me to continue learning and exploring herbal traditions.

That experience completely changed the way I looked at plants, not as a replacement for medical care, but as something that could become a meaningful part of my everyday wellness routine.

About the SGL Blend

When Katie reached out about creating a custom blend for Seoul Glow Lab, it was an easy yes.

One of my favorite teas to make has always been a blend inspired by ingredients traditionally enjoyed to support an everyday glow. I loved the idea of creating something that reflected both my own herbal philosophy and Seoul Glow Lab’s approach to wellness from the inside out.

At the heart of this blend are jujubes and ginger, inspired by a traditional Korean tea that’s been enjoyed for generations. Naturally sweet from jujube and Ceylon cinnamon, with a gentle warmth from ginger, it’s a cup that feels both comforting and nourishing.

I also included red raspberry leaf, an herb traditionally used in women’s wellness and naturally rich in nutrients like calcium, potassium, iron, and magnesium

Whether you’re starting your morning slowly or winding down after a long day, my hope is that this blend becomes one of those little rituals you genuinely look forward to.

How to Brew

  • Water Temperature: 212°F
  • Steep Time: 5+ minutes
  • SGL Tip: The longer you let it steep, the richer and more flavorful the cup becomes.

At Seoul Glow Lab, we believe skincare doesn’t stop at the bathroom sink. Wellness is built through the small rituals we come back to every day and we’re so excited to share one of Ka’ila’s favorite rituals with our community.
